We'll get to grips with what's incredibly useful to know about stress, the mental and physical, and how we experience it that nobody ever teaches us.
You'll learn the how and what of recovery and resilience on a deeper level whilst also developing a simple mental model through which to process stressful psychological events.
We'll talk about what we need to be more conscious of when it comes to exposing ourselves to stress, physical and mental, and how to structure it into our lives.
Thought-out, relevant and timely homework to embed what you learn and most importantly gets you to take action. Knowledge is not power without action (or conscious inaction). Quizzes to check what you've retained 😉
Courses with connection to the provider are significantly more effective. We connect with a short intro hello 👋 and maintain an open connection for you to reach out. This includes feedback for me too in each section so I can hear what you think.

I'm one of those "always been a health enthusiast" folk. That's not to say I've not done or still don't do my share of "unhealthy" things!
I understood from an early age that my performance, academic and otherwise had been impacted by my involvement in sport, health and experiences..
Not only did my experiences help to keep me physically healthy but it also exposed me to many psychological challenges that helped me develop my mental capacity for stress and difficulty.
When I started my working life I became discouraged with how people managed their performance - often in total isolation of and to the detriment of their health.
As I began to deprioritise some of my healthier habits, slowly, some of behaviors started to change for the worse. I felt worse mentally and physically and more inconsistent in my performance.

What I found interesting when I started to talk about my Better at Stress course was that some people told me that they didn't really get stressed. It made me reflect internally about my own experience.
Why did I care so much about talking about stress? Why did I create a course around it? I don't consider myself to be a highly stressed person, generally. However, at times I do get stressed and for periods in my life I have experienced chronic stress.
What I do know about stress is that it is contextual and that we should have enough of it in our lives - it is necessary. What I also know is that there is a stigma around "needing help with it" just like there is with mental health. We don't need to be stressed out people to want to understand it better. Preventative is also better than corrective when it comes to serious encounters with stress or chronic stress.
What might be helpful to know about me is that I am accustom to change. I moved countries 4 times before I was 14 attending 6 different schools in the process. I performed well academically and competitively, representing my county playing squash when growing up. I joined a top tier accounting firm on graduation. I became accustomed to intense pressure and high performing environments throughout my career. I also encountered challenging life experiences, I failed at things and once I burnt-the-hell-out.
I decided I wanted to know more about what I had gone through, in the good times and bad. So I did and here I present the fundamentals of it to you.
If you're a high performer, you'll learn to how to protect against risks and stay that way.

I'm not promising sunshine and rainbows! Frankly, you should be skeptical of anyone who is.
Being straight forward with you, I feel I have something unique to offer you here - I wouldn't be here if I didn't. Not just the course but it being connected to me and who I am as a person. However, ultimately, you will have to do the work.
Understanding the topics I cover in this course changed how I perform and manage my own life.
I created this course so that I could share it with you.
If you purchase this course I hope you grasp the gravity of what I am saying, the impact it has had on me and could have on you too - if you engage and focus.
With this course and by gaining a better understanding of the fundamentals of stress I expect it will have a larger impact on your health and life too.
